The Caring Family Foundation 2024 ‘Food From the Heart’ Campaign


The Caring Family Foundation (TCFF) is proud to announce its 2024 ‘Food From the Heart’ Campaign in partnership with The Felix Project, London’s largest food redistribution charity. This initiative aims to combat child poverty and food insecurity — a cornerstone of The Caring Family Foundation’s mission. By working with The Felix Project, TCFF pledges to distribute 300,000 meals across London by the end of 2024 and an additional 700,000 meals to those who need them most in 2025 (totalling 1 million meals as part of the commitment). By the end of 2025, this means TCFF will have provided over 3.5 million meals through its extensive network of schools and partners across the UK and Brazil. This festive season, TCFF’s campaign addresses the critical issue of child hunger and food insecurity, a challenge that intensifies over school breaks and, most especially, during the two-week festive holiday. Combining efforts across hospitality and utilising its platform, TCFF is actively raising funds for 'Food from the Heart' so that it can do even more to tackle child hunger and food insecurity.

As part of its broader seasonal campaign, TCFF will continue to support Surrey Square Primary School, fostering a sense of togetherness with an event on December 5th. TCFF, alongside volunteers from Richard and Patricia’s hospitality group (Bill’s, Caprice Holdings, and The Birley Clubs), will come together to create a memorable day at the school. There will be festive entertainment and delicious lunches for children (provided by Bill’s). TCFF believes that these special events and moments during the festive season can have a lasting impact on children and families, creating cherished memories and a sense of joy and support that resonates beyond the holiday season. 

The Food From The Heart Campaign was established in 2020 in response to the COVID-19  pandemic, where Richard and Patricia Caring committed their hospitality group to provide One Million and One Meals to NHS key workers and families most affected during this difficult time. The success of this kick-started ongoing initiatives from the Foundation to support children and families in need, striving to make a longer-term impact.

The Caring Family Foundation’s ‘Food from the Heart’ campaign aims to make a difference in the lives of children in the UK living in poverty. Throughout December, this annual campaign will continue to provide meals to children who are facing food insecurity this holiday season. The campaign was originally born from the desire to play a role in alleviating the disastrous impacts that the COVID-19 pandemic had on the growing problem of child food poverty across the UK. Partnering with The Felix Project, The Caring Family Foundation’s ‘Food from the Heart’ campaign delivers meals across the UK to children most in need of food.
