Pocumtuck Homelands Festival Fundraiser

Please help us fund the 9th Annual Pocumtuck Homelands Festival: A Celebration of Native American Art, Music and Cultures, an important cultural and community event. The celebration takes place at Unity Park in Turners Falls (Great Falls), MA, at Peskeompskut, a Pocumtuck gathering place culturally, historically and spiritually significant to the tribes of the Northeast who came together every year to share the abundance of fish at the falls. This festival echoes the spirit of reunion and honors the First Peoples who lived and visited here for millennia.

"Peskeompskut" by Robert Peters, who will be among the 30+ vendors at the festival this year and leading social dancing with Andre Strongbearheart Gaines, Jr. So much to look forward to! Indigenous people from different tribal nations share their own stories in their own words and help correct the 400 years of misleading education we were taught. We have a lot to learn and un-learn.  We celebrate the persistence and resilience of the First Nations. We learn and have fun at the same time!
