2024 Tanna Fund

Imagine a world where brilliant Black women in the D.C. region have the resources they need to blossom and the community to bring their business ideas to life. The Tanna Fund is invested in making this vision a reality.

We are a dynamic, people-powered community that mobilizes resources and ignites the power of individuals like you to support Black women and gender-expansive entrepreneurs.

Why is this important?

Black women are among the fastest-growing groups of emerging entrepreneurs but face significant barriers to accessing capital and resources, hindering their potential.

The Tanna Fund stands in the gap by awarding micro-grants and empowering early-stage Black women and gender-expansive entrepreneurs to launch and grow their businesses. In 2023, the Tanna Fund raised and awarded $5,000 to 8 Black women-led businesses. In 2024, we're aiming to double our impact.

The need is great. Your contribution, big or small, can make a real difference. Join us as we cultivate a thriving ecosystem where Black entrepreneurship thrives.

Your investment enables us to:

1. Empower entrepreneurs with microgrants to fund essential business needs, propelling their dreams into reality.

2. Build their success by delivering impactful programs and fostering a supportive network of business owners to guide them through launching and scaling their businesses.

3. Celebrate Black excellence by cultivating a vibrant community that uplifts and empowers Black entrepreneurship in the D.C. region.

In Yoruba, 'Tanna' means 'blossom.' We're here to help Black women entrepreneurs bring their business ideas to life, firmly rooted with the resources, support, and care needed to thrive. Join us.
