HELP US GET SCHOOL SWEATERS AND SPORTSWEAR FOR OUR KIDS IN JINJA

Explanation         :  Sweater and Sportswear for our lower level kids.

Reasons                            :  

Right from the very inception of the project, and ever since we started sponsoring our kids academically, we have always had a responsibility of buying for them school uniform, school sweater, sportswear and other school stuff at the beginning of every academic year and this has always been independent of the school fees we pay. However, since in Jinja the schoolfees have been relatively low compared to the schoolfees in Kampala, most of the time the sponsorship money of the sponsors was enough to cater also for these necessities. 


Great thanks to our sponsors and the Fundraising team that have always made this happen year after year. However, due to the fact that the Euro value went down and other things became much more expensive such as schoolfees, nutrition and transport, this program was as well negatively affected and we were only left with a school uniform. 


But because all these are school requirements that are needed by a child for them to have a good learning environment and perhaps perform well, we have been prompted to come up with this kind proposal and see if we could get a fundraising for this.  


There are so many reasons as to why a child would need a school sweater and sportswear during their time at school and these include but not limited to the following;

  • Every child is given one pair of school uniforms that they have to wear from Monday-Friday. This becomes really hard for the child to be hygienic because they can’t wash that uniform and wear it the next day since they are given little time off the class. However, if they have sportswear, a child can wash a uniform and wear sportswear for classes.

  • Schools always have sports activities that take place at school like athletics and football. During this period a child can not easily participate while wearing a uniform so they are all expected to have sportswear.

  • With the school sweater, during the rainy season,coldness engulfs and it makes it so hard for the child to attend classes and yet there is not any other casual wear allowed at school. This will definitely leave our children with no option but to stay at home during this time which will obviously deteriorate their academic performance.

  • The reason as to why our kids receive these requirements every year is basically because during the course of the year, they get some physical changes in their bodies so by the end of the year, they may not be able to fit them and may even be worn out.

With all those reasons therefore, we request our sponsors to consider this as a need for our children
