Dear friends of 22STARS,


We received the devastating news of the loss of our beloved sister Kalembe Annet, the mother of child 382, Nicholas (11 years old) and child number 387, Emmanuel  (13 years old) and also the loss of her husband Henry.  Nicholas and Emmanuel became full orphans over night and we are buys counselling and supporting them where we can.  Additionally also their other 3 siblings (who are not sponsored by 22STARS) became full orphans. 


Our plan is to allow the children to go to boarding school, so they can study, sleep and eat there. Hopefully their current sponsors can help out with that, alternatively we will look for a co-sponsor for them.  Normally when children go to a boarding school,  the parents of the children take care of their basic needs and also take care of them during the holidays. Since these kids have no parents anymore, we have set up this fundraiser to help them financing these needs (such as pens, brushes, mattress, metal box, bedlinnen, clothes, transport and so on) and also that in their holidays they can stay within the community and have enough food.  Additionally we will also start putting the other sibilngs of Nicholas and Emmanuel on our website, so hopefully they can find a sponsor soon as well. 


The community itself has already collected money to organise the funeral of Annet. ♥


We hope to raise 350 euro per child, so we can buy their basic supplies to send them to boarding school.
