Hope & Healing: Supporting Survivors of Sexual Violence in Eastern Congo
For nearly three decades, genocide in Eastern Congo has devastated millions of lives. Among the most affected are women and young girls who have endured sexual violence, often used as a weapon of war.
Behind every statistic is a human being: a mother, a daughter, a sister, a young girl whose life has been forever changed.
Today, many survivors face overwhelming challenges. Beyond the physical and emotional trauma, they often lack access to essential medical care, emergency treatment, psychological support, and basic dignity items needed to begin rebuilding their lives.
Through our Hope & Healing initiative, Team Congo is launching a campaign to provide critical support to women and girls affected by sexual violence.

• Medical care and treatment for survivors
• PEP kits and emergency medical support following sexual assault
• Dignity kits containing essential hygiene products, soap, sanitary pads, and other necessities
• Psychological and emotional support to help survivors heal and recover
• Financial assistance and small business support to help women rebuild their lives and regain economic independence
• Ongoing assistance for the most vulnerable women and girls
