We are San Antonio Black Doula Collective and we are on a mission to support black families and doulas of San Antonio to help counter the high rates of maternal and infant mortality rates in the following three ways:  

First by supporting black families throughout their reproductive and postpartum period with financial assistance to doulas and midwifery services. 

Secondly, we advocate for affordable options, and better health care, and seek equitable treatment for black families through collaborative and strategic partnerships.

Lastly, we train professional doulas, provide mentorship and create spaces for doulas to be included in healthcare panels. 

We envision a city that is safe and helpful for families to birth with any options they want.  We would love to see doulas integrated into healthcare spaces and rooms where our voices can be heard because we are the ones hearing the community and its needs regarding reproductive health.  Come alongside our fight.
