This fundraiser is a collaborative effort powered by The Amulet Fairy and Leaders High School students.
The Amulet Fairy, founded by Samantha Frank-Beckford, the owner of the Amulet Fairy works, at the College and Career Office at Leaders Highschool and, is dedicated to supporting students with their post-secondary plans.
Through a work-place challenge through Future ready NYC- 25 Highschool students will participate in a Workplace Challenge that will seek to transform a retail space in Flatbush into a cooperative educational hub, benefiting both Leaders High School students and local businesses.
By supporting this project, you are helping create a unique learning environment where students can gain hands-on experience directly from local entrepreneurs, building their skills in retail, marketing, and entrepreneurship. For Leaders students in grades 9-12, this hub offers mentorship opportunities with local business owners and practical experience in managing a cooperative storefront. It’s a powerful extension of the Business and Marketing Pathway, providing students the chance to apply their classroom knowledge in a professional setting.
The cooperative model also supports emerging brands by keeping costs affordable, allowing students to see how collaboration can drive community success. This hub will be a place for students to develop essential skills, explore potential career interests, and forge valuable connections within their community.
Together, we are creating a space that fosters growth, learning, and opportunity—an investment in the future of our students and the Flatbush community!
