THANK YOU so much for helping us hit our Giving Tuesday goal. We exceeded our goal of $15,000 and raised over $16,000 yesterday. This is great news for our callers since a lot of abortion funds take breaks or time off in December, we will be able to assist more.
Things have been very heavy lately, and we've been so busy with the fund and fielding requests for assistance. Some updates, before we ask you to open your wallets for #GivingTuesday.
1. We've expanded our service region into Alabama and Georgia!
2. Our first year of operating, we were able to help around 225 people pay for their abortions. In just the past three months we've helped over 600. That's a drastic increase that shows how the need keeps increasing.
3. We pledged 5x our monthly budget for the month of November.
4. If you're in South Carolina, or local to Columbia, our holiday party is coming up! Grab your tickets here, there is a limited amount available.
Now, onto the ask. We've been feeling the strain of these abortion bans, and the South is essentially a reproductive healthcare / abortion care desert. The majority of our callers have to travel to Virginia, DC, and Maryland to get their care, which makes things more expensive. Some folks can get care in North Carolina, but their 72 waiting period requirement complicates things for a lot of people. We had to raise our monthly donation goal from $10,000 --> $16,000 and honestly? That may not even cover what we need to help our callers.
There is some good news though, donations (up to a certain amount) are going to be matched through tomorrow night at midnight. Can you help us raise $10,000 in 24 hours? Share this email with a friend who supports reproductive freedom and let's all fight for a better future, together.
Thank you for being in this fight with us.

Hi everyone! I apologize that I've been behind on posting these updates here, but I started back at school this past January and finding time has been hard! We are way under our monthly fundraising goal, so if anyone wants to share or has a little bit extra to donate we would appreciate it!
I hope to have an update on how many callers we've been able to help since January for y'all next time! Also, our grant funded project, Access For All, launched in February. You can find more information here: www.accessforallsc.com
As always, thank you for the support!
Hi folks -- we cannot believe 2023 is almost over! We know it's a long shot, but if we could end this month at $30,000 raised that would put us in a really good spot going into the new year for funding abortions! As an all volunteer fund, spending our time fundraising around the clock just takes away from the time that could be spent on and with callers. We try to be with our callers every step of the way before, during, and after their appointments if they need us. The support we provide isn't just financial, it's logistical and emotional too. We feel so grateful for the trust they put into us, and for the support that you all, our community, continue to show us. If you are able to donate once more before the end of the year, please do -- it will help us out immensely!
PS. We should have more concrete numbers tomorrow but I can tell you that we funded abortions for 300+ people this year!
With gratitude,
PSAF

Apologies for not posting a Donorbox update since August. If you aren't on our email list, sign up because we do send those more frequently.
Through the end of October, we have helped 289 people! This is more than we helped in 2022, which was 200. The need keeps growing, however, and we have 30 people right now waiting for assistance. If you can donate, or set up a small recurring donation, we would be so grateful! We understand times are tough, yet our community consistently comes together to meet the need -- our appreciation for you and your support cannot be put into words. Please also consider sharing our email or updates with your networks. It's a free way to help us spread the word about the work we do.
In Solidarity,
PSAF
We are so close to or normal $6,500 goal here and over halfway to our August patient specific goal of $18,000. Thank you so much for your support, donations, and shares! When they say it takes a village, they must have been talking about community funded abortions because that's what we (which includes you!) do!
Hi folks -- this update comes early in the month, meaning we will likely have a wrap up update for you at the end of the month as well. Right now, we have 45 outstanding patients who need our help. 62% of them are using Greenville Women's Clinic, which we are the sole funder for as far as abortion funds go. About half are coming in from Georgia. In order to meet this need, we need to raise about $18,000 this month, and that's if we don't take on any new patients. We're at about $3,500 / $18,000 and NEED to hit $6,000 by Sunday. Please share if you can't donate again -- we appreciate all that you do!
Some free ways to help us are by signing up to fundraise on our behalf (email for info!), dedicate your Instagram/Facebook birthday fundraiser to us, see if your employer matches donations, asking your friends and family to donate, and sharing our posts on social media so more people can see them!
We couldn't do this without you, your support has been instrumental in helping over 300+ people get necessary reproductive healthcare in our state. <3
We are $870.51 away from our July goal of $6,500! We estimated this goal based on patient need, to continue to serve folks in this state and people from neighboring states (Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi) who have been requesting assistance here as well. Our Georgia callers has increased to about half of all of our patients. Thank you for your support, past, present, and continued. We could not sustain this fund without y'all. <3
We have an anonymous donor who is matching donations through this Sunday. If you are in a position to do so, please chip in so we can afford to continue funding callers through the summer! Our requests are through the roof, and we hope to be able to continue to help everyone who reaches out for assistance.

Well the past few months have been hectic, haven't they? Abortion access is safe, for now, thanks to another lawsuit brought by Planned Parenthood. The need for funding keeps increasing, as we get more and more out of state patients coming to South Carolina for their care.
$5,000 in recurring donations is what we *need* to hit to safely be able to continue to fund abortions without worry -- we've managed to raise that much each month but not without our team frantically fundraising to do it. Right now our recurring donations sit around ~1,500 and we need to increase that.
Please consider committing to a recurring donation, this helps sustain abortion care for the coming months. And as always, share our information with all your pro-choice and pro-abortion friends and family!
Thank you for your support. <3
Hi friends,
For the first time we have had to close our intake request line. After multiple second and third trimester patients we had to send DC, and an influx of patients coming in from out of state (particularly Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia) we are maxed out on funding and desperately need to replenish our resources to open up our hotline once again. For context, we funded 30 patients in all of December and as of April 15th, we've funded 30 already! We are so grateful that people trust and come to us for their care, and we are equally thankful for all of our donors support. Please keep sharing us with your family and friends, and encourage anyone who supports reproductive justice to donate to keep funding abortion in and for South Carolina!
