✨ Doubling Our Impact – We are now serving 40 students, twice as many as last year! More children are receiving education, nourishment, and the love of Christ, thanks to your support.
🏗 Second Floor Completed – Our expanded space is now a reality! The second floor is built, providing more room for learning, activities, and a safe, welcoming environment for our students.
🚐 A New Combi Van for Transportation – We’ve purchased a Combi van to safely transport the kids, helping them get to and from our school with ease. A special thank-you to Hopewell Baptist Church and Miranda’s dad, Randy Barnett, for their generous donations that made this possible!
⛪ Mission Team Coming in May – A team of 15 people from Lake Mary, FL (River Oaks Church) will be traveling to Isaiah 61 at the end of May for a 10-day mission trip, serving the children and supporting our ongoing work.

This year has been a remarkable season of growth and fulfillment for the Brazil Mission! After more than 20 years of prayer, planning, and unwavering faith, we celebrated the Grand Opening of Isaiah 61 School. Located in a favela, Isaiah 61 serves as a beacon of hope, providing after-school tutoring, nutritious meals, Bible studies, and physical activities daily. The school welcomed 20 students, who are taught and guided by one dedicated teacher and two supportive assistants, all committed to empowering, educating, and equipping young lives in the name of Jesus.
Praise Report: All 20 students who joined the school have surrendered their lives to Christ! This has been an answer to prayer, and we thank God for moving so powerfully among these children. As they grow in faith, the Isaiah 61 team also seeks to grow the school: the second-floor expansion is nearing completion and will welcome 20 more students in 2025.
In addition to academics and spiritual guidance, we introduced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo classes, giving students an outlet for physical discipline and confidence-building. The program has been met with excitement from students eager to learn, strengthen, and develop.
In February, we took a team to Brazil for the Grand Opening, spending precious time serving the community, feeding families, sharing the Gospel, and building stronger relationships with our Brazilian brothers and sisters. It was an unforgettable mission, filled with powerful moments of connection and celebration of what God is doing in and through Isaiah 61. We sent second team for 10 days in November from River Oaks PCA Church to do more of the same and help with some construction work.
2 more trips are planned for 2025 (May and June), and more to come!

Our mission is to bring hope to the hopeless, peace to the afflicted, and to help children in extreme poverty through the transformative power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We aim to equip and educate these children with the tools they need to succeed spiritually, academically, and professionally. By nurturing their minds and hearts, we empower them to break the cycle of poverty and unlock a future full of opportunities.
For those of you who have been with us from the beginning, you know that it has been a journey since 2018 when we broke ground on the education center in Acaba Mundo, Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
We are now entering a phase of fundraising where we really need your support. We have a donor in the USA that is willing to match every donation up to $50,000! That means, every time you donate, you'll know that your gift is being doubled!
The goal we have right now is big, but our God is big, and has big goals for our ministry in Brazil.
The education center will be ready to launch January 2024, and we want to make sure we are fully funded for the coming year, and that we have enough to put the finishing touches on the center. We still need to finalize the children's play area, install the kitchen cabinets, and purchase a water holding tank.
