In today’s climate, replacing aversive techniques with positive procedures is needed more than ever. The Foundation works towards that goal. The Foundation website provides information to the media and to the public. We make what Skinner said in his publications and talks available to the public. The magazine Operants spreads current work of researchers, theorists, and practitioners worldwide. The Foundation works with Harvard University’s archival programs to preserve archival materials for future generations. In the past several years demands for Foundation services have increased. My introduction to teaching was BF Skinner. It wasn't just a college theory class. I practiced it at my job as a dolphin trainer/show presenter. It carried over to my swim classes and my business. I thought it was set, match over. It was the best thing since sliced cake! However, I re-entered the work place 20 years of self employed business to find a shocking place. Today's workplace is much worse than I ever experienced before - I found too many people not understanding the methods of positive reinforcement and just simply going back to punishment etc. I am making a monthly donation because I want bosses, employees, friends, and country to benefit from this wonderful science.
