Every week, children walk into Taabu and remember what it feels like to be free.
To dance. To draw. To laugh. To feel safe—even just for a few hours.
Taabu Club is a grassroots healing space in Cairo for displaced mothers and children—many of whom have fled unimaginable trauma. We offer creative, movement-based, and psychosocial programs led by Palestinian and local facilitators—from breakdancing and cinema to embroidery and storytelling.
We currently support over 250 children and mothers, and our monthly costs include: rent, facilitators, supplies, snacks, and cleaning.
These families deserve more than survival—they deserve a space to dream, create, and rebuild their lives.
Just $25 a month creates stability: consistent access to healing workshops, creative expression, and a community that holds space for growth.
But this space only stays open with you.
