Friends of Katrina's Dream

The mission of Katrina's Dream is to empower women in the Church and in Society.   by working with leaders and advocacy groups across the world.

For nearly two decades we have been promoting the passage of the ERA.  We work with leaders in US Congress and advocacy groups here in the USA across the world.

At the 63rd UNCSW Board Bishop Trevor welcomed participants and attendees

On my 7,000 mile pilgrimage from the San Francisco Bay Area to Washington, D.C., I met many folks who diligently are working to pass the Equal Rights Amendment [ERA].  I also met many who have been harmed by racism and sexism that is deeply ingrained in our society.  One such experience that stands out to this day is when I was walking along the Gulf Coast and had learnt there was no place for women to go to who need help other than this one shelter, so I decided to investigate as I had done at a few other shelters across the country.  This occasion was particularly heartwrenching, a Jewish woman who had been released from a hospital who had cancer was denied a place to stay because of her faith, she would not say that Jesus was her savior, she was Orthodox, she was alone, she had no family, I watched her turned away. Another woman, a black woman was told she was going to hell for leaving her abusive husband and that is why she was now homeless for not staying with him and shutting up and taking his beating.  And yet another young woman confided she was bi-sexual and her family had put her out and would not allow her home unless she went through conversion therapy.

I observed much on the Walk the Talk pilgrimage across the USA which led to Nevada becoming the first state in the 21st Century to move our nation forward.  And while we have made some great strides, Katrina’s Dream, we still have a lot to accomplish.  First and foremost, we need your support to bring our program, Let’s Pass the ERA over the finish line and enshrine the Equal Rights Amendment in the US Constitution. We need our US Senate to pass S.J. Res 1 and Remove the Deadline on the ERA

Would you consider donating $10 a month to help us achieve our mission?

If you have any questions, I would be happy to provide you with more information about how you can help support our 21st Century Church Ministries at Katrina’s Dream.

We greatly appreciate your donation, and it will be used to continue holding our weekly program The Call join us on Fridays.

Please help us! With your donation, we’re one step closer to passing the ERA!

Under the Mercy,
