Brusinka is more than a center — it’s a home for connection, diversity and hope. Since 2020, we’ve welcomed children, families, migrants and refugees — offering a safe space to learn, create and belong. From art workshops and language classes to support for LGBTQ+ individuals and people with disabilities, we create bridges between cultures, generations and communities.
But today, this space is under threat.
Rent prices in the Czech Republic are soaring — and NGOs like ours are not exempt. Add to that the rising cost of energy and materials and we are struggling to keep our doors open.
Without urgent support, we may be forced to shut down. That would mean no more intercultural workshops, no more free educational activities, no more safe community events for those who need them most.
We are the only Multicultural Center in Brno, a metropolitan area of more than 700,000 people. The loss of Brusinka would leave a huge gap in support for minorities, newcomers and local residents alike.
