I’m heading to Australia for one more World Trail Majors race in 2026… and it’s a big one: the Grampians Peaks Trail 100 Miler.

The race traverses the entire Grampians mountain range: 162 km of rugged and beautiful terrain with 7,700 m of elevation gain. It has so much of what I love about trail running: challenging wild trails, strong competition, and an incredible community around it.

I’m currently ranked 4th in the World Trail Majors standings after strong finishes at the Madeira Island Ultra Trail (5th place) and Transgrancanaria 125 km (6th place). The GPT100 Miler is the second-last race in the World Trail Majors series and an opportunity to cap off the 2026 season with an exciting race I’ve been dreaming about for a long time.

Why I’m Fundraising

Training and racing internationally at this level comes with significant costs, and any amount you can contribute makes a difference. I’m fortunate to have some support from the GPT race directors, who are covering my race entry, accommodations and meals around the race, and a small travel stipend. This fundraiser will help close the remaining gap, including:

     - Flights and local transportation
     - Crew support
     - Accommodations before and after the race
     - Food and other travel expenses
     - Time away from other work to train and compete

Your support helps make it possible for me to focus on two things I love: running my best race and representing Atlantic Canada on the world stage.

It Takes a Community

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported my running journey from the very beginning and throughout this season. Racing largely as a self-funded and unsponsored athlete this season, I’m fortunate to be surrounded by great brand partners and meaningful community support.

I also want to recognize that community support shows up in so many different ways. It’s friends who dog-sit or cook meals during long training days. It’s our homesteading neighbours who keep us supplied with eggs from their chickens. It’s the messages of encouragement and inspiration that arrive along the way.

All of it matters. Thank you to everyone who is helping make this dream possible.

Offline Contributions

If you’d prefer to contribute offline, you can send an e-transfer to kelsey.p.hogan@gmail.com (write “GPT 100miler” in the description so I know what it’s for) or make a cash contribution in person. Offline gifts will be added to the fundraising total.

Other Ways to Support

If a financial contribution isn’t something that feels within your means right now there are other ways you can support this adventure:

     - Purchase art cards or prints from my online shop
     - Order a Trail Emotion hand-stamped notebook
     - Donate airport lounge passes and/or Aeroplan points
     - Become a paid subscriber to our Crew Notes newsletter

     - Share this fundraiser with someone who might want to support or follow along

You’ll Be With Me Every Step

If you contribute any amount before November 4, I’ll write your name on a piece of paper that I’ll carry with me close to my heart from the start of the GPT100 Miler all the way to the finish line. You’ll be with me for every step of the 162 km journey.

I’ll also randomly draw five names from contributors (your donation must not be anonymous in order to be part of the draw). Each winner can choose either a 10-pack of my art cards or an 8 × 10” print of a collage of their choice.

Thank you for being part of this adventure. From Atlantic Canada to Australia, I’ll be carrying the energy of the coast and the belief of my community with me on the journey.
