“Every kid is one caring adult away from being a success story.”
—Josh Shipp
Children are the greatest resource we have for our future. And yet, they face a great many challenges that put them at risk of not achieving a successful future, including poverty, homelessness, a physical or cognitive disability, abuse, bullying, racism, or something that just sets them apart.
Your Unique Definition is a 501c3 non-profit organization located in Texas. We draw our inspiration from the distinctive traits of children who are just a little bit different. We celebrate those differences and view them as strengths rather than shortcomings because we believe each child should be treated with respect and dignity regardless of their struggles.
We are excited to share with you that we have just completed the curriculum for the 2nd annual Project Summer. Last year, we witnessed an overwhelming response from children eager to participate in the program. However, due to limited resources, we were unable to accommodate all the children who wanted to join.
The primary objective of the Project Summer Campaign is to combat the phenomenon known as "summer slides" among children and youth in grade school. By implementing a comprehensive Curriculum and Incentive Program, the campaign aims to bridge the learning gap that typically occurs during the summer break.
To address this issue, we have developed a comprehensive Curriculum and Incentive Program for children in Pre-K to 3rd grade. By providing them with curriculum books tailored to their grade level and a selection of reading books, we aim to bridge the learning gap that typically occurs during the summer break. Additionally, if the children successfully complete the curriculum and reading requirements, they will receive incentives of their choice based on their preferences and needs.
But that's not all! We believe in equipping these children with the necessary tools for success beyond the summer program. That's why we also plan to assist them with school supplies and clothes for the upcoming academic year. And to celebrate their achievements, we will host an awards ceremony at the end of the program.
To make Project Summer a success, we are seeking generous sponsors like you. By sponsoring a child for $450, you will directly contribute to their access to the curriculum, books, incentives, and participation in the awards ceremony. Your support will not only provide educational opportunities but also instill confidence and motivation in these young minds.
You can also help us reach 1,000 children by donating $40 to go towards books and supplies to help combat summer slides!
We invite you to join us in making a difference in the lives of these children. Together, we can empower them with the tools and skills they need to thrive academically and personally!
Together, there is so much we can do for our children. Thank you for your kind support.
