Welcome to our Summer Distribution Campaign!
During our last winter distribution, we reached the most people any of our distribution campaigns have ever reached. We continue our distributions and adapt to the changing weather as the hot summer months on Samos approach. Our Free Shop promotes dignity and choice as people receive much-needed summer items in our Free Shop.
The needs of people living in the Closed Controlled Access Centre (CCAC) remain as high as ever. There are currently more than 2,500 people living in the CCAC. There is an urgent need for clothing that is suitable for the warm months ahead.
If I wear the same clothes every time, I feel ashamed to go out and face people, they are kind of dirty. When you do a distribution, you make someone feel confident. You can then change your clothes. With these clothes I can go out normally, comfortably and confidently. I no longer need to hide inside of the camp, because I have dirty clothes. With this distribution you give hope to refugees, you give something very valuable.
