April is recognized as Child Abuse Prevention and Sexual Assault Awareness Month, This year, The National Sexual Violence Resource Center's theme is, "Together We Act, United We Change". This campaign emphasizes the importance of collaboration in preventing sexual violence and creating safe, supportive communities. Education is key to empowering individuals and shifting perceptions surrounding sexual abuse, assault, and harassment.
In keeping with the established theme, First Strike Krav Maga seeks to support survivors and raise awareness by hosting our annual self-defense seminar. This seminar titled, Stop the Abuse, will take place on April 26, 2025. Events offered during the seminar will include a Women Only Self-Defense Class at 10 AM followed by a Family Protection Class at 1 PM. In lieu of selling tickets for the seminar, we are requesting that attendees simply make a donation to TESSA. We recommend a donation of $15 per participant, per session.
Your donation receipt, a screenshot of your submitted donation, or making your name public on the donation are all accepted ways to gain entry to the April 26th seminar.
