Stonewall NM is a tribute to those who stood up to closed minds. We must continue to do so. My uncle Bill Becker was there and now I stand tall because of him. We all must stay strong and proud.
I visited there just last November and came to know that the transgender individuals were at the center of the story of what happened there. I was imagining that now your space was being dismantled. I can not tell you the great relief I am experiencing in seeing that that is not happening. Thank you so much for being there.

None of us are immune to the hate of these usurpers. It won't end with deleting the word transgender from plagues and webpages. If the LGBTQIA+ community is divided, if we're made to fight amongst ourselves, then they can win. We must not make their task easy. We must ALL stand against them, together. And in so doing, we can never be erased.
