THIS IS HOW WE STOP THE PROBLEM AT ITS SOURCE.

Every week, we’re called to rescue dogs that never needed to be born into suffering. Puppies dumped in boxes. Mothers are exhausted, producing litter after litter. Communities overwhelmed.

Rescue is necessary.

But it’s not the fix. Sterilisation is!

WHAT WE DO

  1. We run targeted sterilisation days across Bali.
  2. We go into areas where the need is high. Street dogs, owned dogs, and entire communities where breeding is uncontrolled. We work with local feeders, banjars, and individuals already on the ground.
  3. Each sterilisation stops the cycle before it starts.

HOW WE DO IT

We don’t just show up and leave.

We:

  1. Identify locations with growing populations and limited access to vet care.
  2. Co-ordinate vets, equipment, transport, and recovery spaces.
  3. Educate owners and communities while we’re there.
  4. Prioritise animals most at risk of reproducing.

One day can sterilise 50 to 100 animals, depending on scale and funding.

That’s not just numbers. That’s thousands of future births prevented.

WHY IT MATTERS

One unsterilised female dog and her offspring can produce thousands of puppies over a few years. Most won’t survive.

Those that do often live short, hard lives. Injury. Disease. Starvation. Road accidents. Human conflict. Sterilisation cuts it off completely. It reduces roaming, fighting, noise complaints, and aggression. It stabilises communities. It directly supports rabies control by reducing the number of unvaccinated animals being born.

It’s better for the animals. And it’s better for the people living alongside them.

RABIES ISN'T GOING AWAY

Rabies remains a very real and ongoing threat in Bali.

Every year, thousands of people require treatment after dog bites, and new rabies cases continue to be reported across the island. The challenge isn't just the dogs we see today. It's the thousands of unvaccinated puppies born every month.

You cannot vaccinate your way out of rabies if the population continues to grow unchecked. That's why sterilisation and vaccination must work together

Sterilisation reduces the number of animals born. Vaccination protects the animals already here. Together, they are the most effective and humane way to control rabies long term

Every dog sterilised is one less dog contributing to an ever-growing population. Every dog vaccinated is one more barrier to the spread of a deadly disease.

Without large-scale sterilisation and vaccination programs, rabies will remain a challenge for Bali's animals, communities, and visitors for years to come.

This isn't just animal welfare. It's public health. It's community safety. And it's one of the most important investments we can make in Bali's future.

WHERE YOUR DONATION GOES

This fundraiser puts the power into people’s hands. You can fund a sterilisation day in your area.
Or support a location in Bali where the need is urgent.

$50 covers one sterilisation. $65 covers one sterilisation + rabies vaccination.

It’s simple. Direct. Measurable.

WHERE WE’RE AT

Right now, we’re sterilising around 80 animals a month. It’s not enough.

The demand is far bigger than what we can currently reach.

WHAT’S NEXT

More funding means more days. More days mean fewer animals being born into suffering. And that’s how this ends.
