Stephen T Mather Memorial Scholarship

The Stephen T Mather Scholarship has awarded 20 college scholarships valued at over $75,000 during 15 years.   Scholarships will be a one year basis with a minimum of $5,000.

Applications are accepted from November 1st – December 1st, 2025 on our website. 

Scholarship will be chosen by our committee December 15th, 2025.

Stephen Mather was a four-year letter winner at Trinity High School who won the individual State Championship in 1986 as a freshman and advanced to the State finals all four years of his career. 

Stephen continued his tennis career at University of Kentucky where he set a record for wins as a freshman and helped lead the Wildcats to the SEC team championship in 1992.    Stephen continued his tennis career as a teaching professional and one of the most accomplished adult tennis players in Kentucky.   Stephen was inducted in to the Kentucky Tennis Hall of Fame in 1997.   Stephen passed away December 10th, 2005.
