Our annual grieving retreats, Restored (Mothers) and Follow Me (Fathers), are powerful healing experiences for our families. Approximately 75% of the families who attend our retreats need help to attend financially and request sponsorship from the ministry. We also support out-of-state families. 1/3 of the retreatants will travel from another state which increases the cost of their retreat experience. In 2023, we were able to award 18 full sponsorships for families to attend one of the grief retreats. 14 of the families were from out of state.
At Red Bird Ministries, we do not turn anyone away who cannot afford the cost of the retreat. Instead, we are committed to fundraising the cost for our families to attend. On average, a retreat will cost the ministry between $10,000 to $12,000 to facilitate each year. Volunteers do not pay their way for the retreat.
