BRING WATER TO OVER 700 PEOPLE IN ZAMBIA

Clean Water = Empowered Women, Healthy Families, Thriving Communities

In Zambia, access to clean water is a daily struggle. Women and girls walk long distances to fetch water, often from unsafe sources, impacting health, education, and economic opportunities.

The Hamungu Water Access Project aims to change that by building a reliable solar-powered community water system for all 700 residents. This project will provide clean, safe drinking water—improving health, freeing up time for education, and empowering families to build a better future. With this sustainable solution, clean water will be available for years to come, laying the foundation for sustainable livelihoods for women, which is at the core of Kuwala's mission.

Kuwala is a local Zambian non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering women with the skills, opportunities, and resources to end poverty for themselves, their families, and their communities.
