We are fundraising to support our work to train this generation of youth leaders (14 - 26 years old) to organize and build power. We hold two 6 month youth internships every year. Each internship cohort includes at least 35 students, where each youth intern is given a $700 stipend. Our internship includes organizing, advocacy, leadership, and facilitation training.
Since January 2023 we have
Trained 118 students
Held 20 monthly training sessions
Mobilized 40 students to speak at Metro Council
Won $1 million to invest in community center programming and build the nation’s first Office of Youth Safety via our youth and member-led Varsity Spending Plan campaign to invest in schools, community centers, and alternatives to police and jails
Paid over $75,000 in stipends directly to youth assembly interns
