- $100: Turns local potatoes, beef & collards into nourishing stew for low-income youth

- $500: Turns local cabbage, pork and apples into hearty BBQ for unhoused neighbors

Equal Plates Project, based in Asheville, NC, purchases from small farms at fair prices, transforms their quality ingredients into nourishing meals, and partners with community organizations to share thousands of meals each week with neighbors facing complex barriers to food access. Since 2020, we have shared 500,000 meals with our community.
Our meals each week are being shared with:
Children & families: UMOJA, Resources for Resilience, Mountain Child Advocacy Center, Buncombe Partnership for Children, United Way of WNC, Colaborativa la Milpa, Seek Healing
Shelters for unhoused families & individuals: Homeward Bound, Safe Shelter
Low-income senior residences: Arrowhead, Asheville Terrace, Meals on Wheels
Domestic violence shelters: HelpMate
