Shango - The Spirit Children of Yoruba is the story of four West African demigods reincarnated in recently liberated slaves at the start of the American Civil War. The four Spirit Children are blessed with superpowers. Shango is the leader, god of strength, bravery, and courage, and commander of fire and lighting. Oshun, the goddess of beauty, love, and healing, commands freshwater and human hearts. Oya, the goddess of endurance and strength, her golden wings give us the will to go on. Oya commands the winds and time. Ogun, the god of technology and strategy, commands all earthly elements. Just being around Ogun you will be smarter. The siblings sojourn across a war-torn country to find one another and fight the Confederate forces and the evil god, Baron Samedi, whom you may know as the Shadowman. Together the Spirit Children, along with the help of Civil War heroes like Harriet Tubman, Robert Small, and Lewis Woodson, band together to protect and bring liberty to the Yoruba people in America.
