This September, Atlas Assistance Dogs is celebrating two big things at once: National Service Dog Awareness Month and the continuation of our 10th anniversary. We're calling the campaign 10 Years of Atlas: A Decade of Changing Lives, On and Off Leash, and we're inviting our whole community to be part of it.
Here's why it matters. One in four U.S. adults lives with a disability, but fewer than 1% have access to a service dog. For 10 years, Atlas has been working to close that gap, one owner-trained team at a time, teaching people to train their own service dogs alongside a community of ethical, positive reinforcement trainers. That work only happens because of donors like you.
This month, we're raising $12,500, and thanks to a generous matching gift, every dollar will be doubled, bringing our total impact to $25,000. Whether you give $10 or $1,000, your gift goes twice as far this September and helps us carry this work into the next 10 years.
