Nana Grigoryan, a 16-year-old girl from the Artsakh Republic, has faced numerous challenges throughout her life. Growing up in a small village with limited opportunities for growth, Nana had to create her own opportunities to excel. Some of her successes include establishing a youth center and designing an innovative quest-game for village youth. Her passion has paved way for much-needed projects so young people in Artsakh can explore their potential.
Despite attending a school that lacks essential teachers, Nana has excelled in her studies. Her hard work and determination have paid off, as she has been accepted into a prestigious private school. Though she has received a significant scholarship, Nana's journey to a better education is still fraught with financial obstacles.
Tragically, Nana's family has been suffering from the Artsakh blockade. They are deprived of basic necessities such as food, medication, and transportation. In such dire circumstances, Nana's family is unable to bear the burden of the entire tuition fees required for her education. Even in the face of adversity, Nana remains resolute. As a young woman who has lived through multiple wars and conflicts, Nana understands that receiving a proper education is the key to building a better future not just for herself but also for her country and her family.
While Nana's family is in Artsakh, she has been in Yerevan alone - trying to find a way to fund her tuition. As a community, we have the power to make a significant impact on Nana's life so she may continue to be a catalyst for positive change in her community.
