Our Framework of Change
Seeds4Hope operates on a change framework that recognizes everyone as a leader and promotes their capability and capacity development. Our focus is on fostering self-awareness, personal responsibility, and the "be the change" philosophy. We do this by providing mentorship, personal and leadership empowerment curriculum, and financial aid for education and advancement.We believe that the new model of leadership is not about being at the top and having "power over," but rather about co-creating together through differences, building each other up, and embracing each other as allies. We do this by modeling, teaching, and promoting co-creation, collaboration, effective communication, and celebrating accomplishments without comparison or competition.Our change framework is anchored on the principle that, given opportunities and support, people can thrive and become leaders who make a positive impact in the world.
Our Programs and Services
Our mentoring programs: Vivncaus Mentoring Program and Kwvtij Mentoring Program guide and shape lives, instilling essential leadership skills.
Our Leadership Development Program identifies and nurtures rising stars from our mentorship initiative, offering leadership roles like ambassadorship to organize our Leadership Conference and other in-person events.
Our Vivncaus Sibtxhawb Scholarship Fund provides crucial financial aid, enabling participants to pursue educational opportunities and achieve financial independence.
Meanwhile, Seeds4Hope unites mission-driven individuals, fostering collaboration for a powerful collective impact.
Our Background
During the pandemic in 2020, a small group of mission-driven Hmong women professionals from various parts of the United States came together via Zoom to co-create the Vivncaus Mentoring Program (VMP) as a collaborative project among Hmong Women Today, Givers of Dreams Organization, and the English Enrichment Center in Luang Prabang. Within 3 years, we have impacted 65 young rising leaders, provided 60 hours of personal empowerment training, 645 hours of mentorship, and awarded $10,000 in scholarships.
As of 2023, we have expanded this mentorship program to include the ambassadors project, laptop loaner project, leadership development curriculum, English curriculum, Life Discussion Series, and social networking events. A passionate and dedicated core team of 15 members, 45 mentors, community donors like you, and the US Embassy Vientiane Small Grant have made the program's success possible. Together, we have impacted the lives of many young women who represent the hopes and dreams of their parents.
The impact witnessed through the mentorship program is nothing short of awe-inspiring. Our dedication to empowering the next generation of leaders has inspired us to expand our programs to have a greater impact. With this growth comes a need for more resources, which is why Seeds4Hope was established in April 2023 as a nonprofit organization to sustain our mission.
