Sebastian has been selected to participate in the prestigious New Balance Future Stars Series National Combine in Nashville, TN. He needs your help to make this dream a reality. The players are not charged a fee to participate but instead get the opportunity to raise funds for Future Stars Series Foundation and No Kid Hungry. The players have a chance to earn stipends towards their expenses just by helping raise money for these great causes.
Meet Sebastian: Sebastian Vazquez is a 5’8” 16-year-old middle infielder from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. He attends the 11th grade at the Leadership Christian Academy. Sebastian academic GPA is 3.6. He loves the game of baseball and always plays with passion.
Sebastian shares his favorite baseball memory: "This past fall I had to the opportunity to participate in league play after working through an arm injury during the first part of the year that was challenging and required a lot of work to get back. Getting back on the field and feeling fully healthy was great. Also, hitting 89 in the radar gun from shortstop was really special. That reminded me that hard work always pays off."
Sebastian also shares what attending the NBFSS National Combine means to him: "I’m very grateful for the opportunity to be selected to compete in this event and look forward to learning more of the game I love. Also, it gives me the opportunity to showcase my abilities against top players in the USA and Puerto Rico."
The New Balance Future Stars Series is not just about discovering and developing the MLB Heros of tomorrow. It’s about discovering and developing the leaders of tomorrow by creating real opportunities where they don’t exist today: opportunities for education, opportunities to give back to their community… opportunities for a future. We are incredibly grateful that Sebastian Vazquez is a part of this chapter in our mission to CHANGE THE GAME!
Up to 20% of all net proceeds will be donated to Future Stars Series Foundation and No Kid Hungry.
