Image CaptionSCYC is a youth serving organization that supports connection, youth leadership, communication, and community. SCYC provides substance use prevention programs, out of school time opportunities and runs a gear lending library. 


We are excited to report that we have raised $2,433 at our recent gear sale! Now, on Giving Tuesday we are hoping to get to $5,000. That means we have just $2,567 left to raise! 


With your donation, we will: 

  • Ensure that there are no financial barriers to a young person participating in our programs

  • Provide consistent connections to caring adults in our community 

  • Reduce barriers to getting outdoors for young people and their families 

  • Lean into the curiosity of youth, and support them in finding their passions


An example of impact: 

  • $5 monthly would pay for dinner for our Youth Leadership Council 

  • $10 monthly would pay for a new paddle board for the Gear Lending Library

  • $20 monthly would buy snacks for two weeks for 60 students 

  • $50 monthly would pay for a one day field trip for students 

  • $100 monthly would provide consistent connection to caring adults by allowing us to hire high quality candidates

  • $200 monthly would provide 1 student year round out-of-school time programs at no cost to them
