LET THESE CHILDREN STAY IN SCHOOL TILL THEY FIND A LONG-TERM SPONSOR.   


With your help our children will not be send away from school, back to the streets were they need to work in stone quarries and hassle on the streets to find money for food. But they can stay in school and continue their education till they fin a long-term sponsor. 


2022 has been a hard fundraising year for us, especially since many prices increased in Uganda and we also had several sponsor drop outs due to the crises in Europe. At first we were happy that schools opened up in January after a two year closure due to Covid-19. However soon we discovered that schools were tremendously increasing prices due to higher transport and food costs. We covered this up with general one time donations as we got told that in 2023 prices would normalise again. However they did not, and hence prices increased even more. 


  1. What we need now first is a donation to make sure these children can stay in school! This will allow us a couple of more months to find them long-term sponsors. If instead or in addition to a one time donation you also would like to become the long-term sponsor of one or more of these children, that would be of course amazing and you can sign up for a recurring donation right away here! 
  2. Then our second need is additional donations for school-fees to top up the amount that we are paying right now. As many of our sponsors were not able to increase their fees, many kids are left with less fees now, resulting in them for example not being able to take part in school tours or have all school uniforms like their other class mates. 


Your donation covers the following:

  • General costs to run the Sponsorship Program
  • The School Fees
  • School Uniforms (uniform and sweater/ sportswear)
  • School Tours
  • Registration Fee
  • Exam Fees 
  • Meals in School

This is calculated taken the average cost, as they slightly differ per school and the needs of a specific child. If we remain with money it goes to our programs benefiting all children.  


FYI: in Uganda the education of a child starts with Nursery School (3 years), then Primary School (7 years) and then Secondary School (minimum 4 years) followed by a two year Course. If a child has a very high performance and the sponsor agrees, then the child can also complete class 5 and 6 and join University. In a few cases where a child has no home, we send a primary school child to Boarding section.
