The CHESS Foundation NFP is a 501(C)3 non-profit and tax exempt organization that encourages greater support of  students, youth programs and expansion of community services organization. We have created a scholarship program award for academic achievement, to give our future leaders of tomorrow the much needed financial assistance on their journey in the pursuit of furthering their education. 

I’m here to address a question received via email regarding the scholarship program. Although The CHESS Foundation NFP is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, the scholarship is available to all U.S. citizens. If you meet the eligibility criteria, you are welcome to apply for our scholarship program.

Eligibility Requirements

☑ Must be a 2025 graduate of a High School in US. 

☑ Must have a cumulative 2.5 on a 4.0 scale Grade Point Average (GPA) at time of application.

☑ Must have participated in 20 hours of community service during high school (i.e.,

tutoring, food bank, park clean up, volunteering at non-profit, nursing home, school,

etc.)

☑ Must provide a letter of recommendation as a reference.

☑ Must be accepted to the incoming 2025 class of a College. Provide evidence of

acceptance (i.e., copy of acceptance letter, etc.)

☑ Submit a copy of Applicant's transcript.

☑ Submit typed 250-word essay as prompted on the application.
