SAVING JOANNE 
Our sweet Joanne who we saved from Baldwin Park shelter has been fighting the Step Zoo virus she caught at the shelter. She started showing symptoms after we saved her. Her foster parents noticed she stopped eating, then the coughing started and then she became lethargic.
We rushed her to the vet and had to be hospitalized. Her initial vet visit was $310.18 and after hospitalization the new bill on top of the previous amount is for $3,477.92.
She is still hospitalized and receiving treatment while in isolation. We are praying she beats this and can fulfill her dream of earning her superhero cape and finding her forever family.
As a small rescue, unexpected medical costs are detrimental to our rescue efforts. As you know, we are all volunteers and rely on donations and your support to carry on our mission. We are pleading for donations; any amount helps.
