Save, Expand and Multiply
Reclaiming the Land, Cultivating Community
Legacy Builders Ministries is on a mission to put our farmland back into the hands of the people. We are challenging an industrial agriculture system that puts profit over nutrition, and we're tired of seeing billionaires and foreign governments buy up our country's precious land. We believe in a different way—a biblically based model of farming that nurtures our land, our bodies, and our spirits.
We aren't just building farms; we are cultivating a farm church network. As we acquire and develop properties, they become hubs for community-based agriculture, education, and spiritual life. This fund is our primary tool to save existing farms, develop new ones, and establish these vital centers for our growing network.
A Legacy Planted in Spokane
We have started this mission on a small farm we call The Flying Farmstead. We are currently leasing and farming the land. And developing a place of community on the farm. We are also looking into purchasing a local orchard near us. Our goal is to develop self sustaining community focused farms where the body of Christ stewards the land and people.
Phase One: Purchase The Orchard— $250,000 We started this fund with the intent to purchase a local orchard or a similar working farm.
Phase Two: Expand & Multiply — $1,000,000 This phase will allow us to purchase the property of Flying Farmstead and develop infrastructure. We are aimed at making these two farms a repeatable blueprint that we can multiply. All of our properties are designed to be community centric with in house upick experiences and training workshops and hands-on learning. We create new pathways for people to move out of isolation and back into authentic community.
Phase Three: No Limits — Open Goal There is no cap on the work of peace, healing, and connection. Beyond or start in Spokane we are building a network of small, independent farms—training people through hands-on experience, mentoring entrepreneurs, and empowering farmers to address urgent needs in our food system and communities.
Why This Matters
Most of our food comes from a distant industrial system that does not care about our health, our relationships, or our faith. Our soil, water, and air are being filled with chemicals that damage our bodies and desecrate God’s creation. People feel trapped, forced to participate in a system that leaves them starving—not only for real food, but for genuine human connection and true spiritual life.
Where the Money Goes
Donations to this fund are designated to saving, establishing, and expanding small farms for our farm church network. They do not cover our day-to-day operational costs; instead, we are building self-sustaining models that can endure long after donations. For other donations see the Legacy Builders general fund on our website.
Because Legacy Builders is a community-focused 501(c)(3), your donations are fully tax-deductible. Our mission is to create pathways into urbansteading, homesteading, and farmsteading—breaking dependence on the industrial food system and restoring health, community, and faith. We do this through leasing and purchasing land as well as start providing start up capital for initial expensing such as staffing and equipment needs. We are starting the help save one orchard and we believe this is a move that will multiply to many locations. The purpose of this fund is to enable this multiplication.
