Help Us Transform the Old Planet Fitness Building into Route 6 East LLC: A Hub for Community, Fun, and Collaboration!
Campaign Goal:
Raise $2 million to support the transformation of the old Planet Fitness building located at 22 US Route 6, Port Jervis, NY 12771. The total project cost is estimated to be between $6 million and $7 million, with approximately $3 million to $4 million allocated for renovations and construction.
Why We Are Seeking Funds
At Route 6 East LLC, we are on a mission to create a vibrant environment that serves as a community hub for family-friendly activities and entertainment, and we need your support to bring our vision to life.
This initiative is crucial for Port Jervis as residents are actively seeking activities and family-oriented spaces. While there are many family-friendly venues in our community, we currently lack options for engaging indoor activities. Establishing a facility like Route 6 East LLC requires substantial capital due to the complexities involved in construction and design.
We do have a bowling alley in town and several parks, including a pump track, a beach bike and hiking trails. However, families often look for indoor alternatives where they can chill out, throw a birthday party, enjoy a game of pool, savor a delicious meal, play arcade games, embark on an escape room challenge, or watch a movie at a drive-in theater. Our vision is to provide all of this and more.
Additionally, Port Jervis NY is in the revitalization stage and is currently growing. We are excited about the development currently underway in our city including, new businesses and several projects that are underway or are currently being built. Affordable housing, a new seven-story hotel in Port Jervis that will include a restaurant and two rooftop bars. These projects align with our vision of revitalizing the area and attracting more visitors to our community.
Transforming this space will require a complete overhaul of the property, including:
- Gut Renovation and Construction: A comprehensive rebuild to meet our facility standards, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for our guests.
- Exterior Overhaul: Enhancing the look and feel of the building to make it an inviting destination for the community.
- Drive-In Movie Theater: Creating an outdoor cinema experience, which will require additional parking space and infrastructure.
- Pool Hall and Arcade: Developing spaces for recreational activities that cater to families and friends.
- Restaurant Equipment: Purchasing high-quality equipment, including tables, chairs, and seating areas, to provide an exceptional dining experience.
- Laser Tag and Escape Room Build-Outs: Designing engaging and fun activities that will attract visitors of all ages.
- Birthday Party Rental Room: Creating a designated area for memorable celebrations, complete with all necessary amenities.

- Engineers and Blueprints: Professional fees for engineers to create detailed designs and blueprints that meet building codes and standards.
- Navigating Local and State Government Requirements: The process of securing licensing and permits from local and state authorities can be complex and costly. This includes:

- Addressing community concerns and feedback
- Obtaining necessary permits for construction, occupancy, and specific activities (e.g., drive-in movie theater).
- ADA Compliance: Ensuring that our facility meets all ADA requirements to provide accessibility for all members of our community.

Charity Fundraising Events
To further our mission of community support, we plan to organize a variety of charity fundraising events, including:

Monthly events featuring local talent, with proceeds going to different charities each time.
- Car Shows and Cruises:
Hosting car shows to benefit local charities, bringing together car enthusiasts while raising funds for important causes.

Parking Availability
The property currently boasts 140 parking spaces, with additional room to convert extra property into more parking spaces. This ample parking will support our drive-in movie theater and ensure easy access for all guests.
Project Timeline
While we originally planned to execute our project in phases, we recognize that time is of the essence. Therefore, we are committed to starting this project immediately and completing it in its entirety for a grand opening. We anticipate that the entire project will take 2 to 4 months after all planning , permits and licensing approval's. We will be dedicated to working around the clock, seven days a week, until completion.
