We are requesting monthly donations of $5 to support the creation and maintenance of schools in Cox’s Bazar refugee camp. Please consider offering your support!
RERF is a fundraising organisation led by a group of Rohingya youth in Cox’s Bazar Refugee Camp. Donations have been used to support projects such as food & clothing distribution, medical care and education.
We currently are trying to raise $250 a month to pay salaries for Rohingya teachers and for educational resources in a new learning centre based in one of Cox’s Bazar’s refugee camps. Education is incredibly hard to come by for so many Rohingya people, who are facing an ongoing genocide in Myanmar. In the refugee camps of Bangladesh, where nearly a million Rohingya refugees are surviving, education is extremely inaccessible and rarely reflects community needs.
Rohingya teachers are working extremely hard to provide education to children who feel no hope for the future. Without your donations it is not possible to create safe spaces for learning and teachers continue to work without pay. Please consider offering anything you can, so that we may reach our target and support the education of Rohingya children.
“There is a saying circulating in the Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh: To destroy a people it is not necessary to kill them, only to deny them an education…“
