My name is Rob and for the last 9 years I have dedicated my time to protecting British wildlife. And on September 15th I will be taking on my hardest challenge yet, running the Richmond Marathon to raise funds for Protect the Wild.
I am doing so because we still have so much work to do to ensure British wildlife is properly protected.
The hunting and shooting of wild animals is still very much prevalent across the UK. Whether it be hunts continuing to flout the law and rip foxes, hare and stags to pieces or shooters blasting tens of thousands of birds out of the sky for kicks.
And not to forget the senseless badger cull that is still set to continue until potentially 2029 with tens of thousands of badgers to be slaughtered.
We thought that a change of Government might change things but it is already proving this may not be the case. And it is why we must continue to push hard from all angles if we are to protect British wildlife.
I'm talking more petitioning and pressure campaigns, more animations, more undercover investigations, more projects like bloodbusiness.info and protectors of the wild, more equipment and funding for activists on the ground, more journalism, more ground-breaking reports.
But all of this doesn't come cheaply. We rely solely on generous donations from the public to continue our vital work.
And we are incredibly thankful and excited to say that one of our supporters has promised to match all donations up to £20,000! This means that every single donation up to this amount will be worth twice as much! A £10 donation means we will receive £20!
