Michigan's eight private boarding schools have tuition rates ranging from $16,000-$70,000 per year, while Flint's median income in 2019 was less than $29,000, making private school programming nearly impossible to obtain. We are creating a school that is the first of its kind in the state: a secular private program that is tuition-free for families and provides residential options on-site for students who need safe housing.
We will be specifically serving students who live below the poverty line in the Flint community to provide an educational program that gives them the knowledge, experiences, and tools needed to break the cycle of generational poverty.
