RISE Equity Fundraiser
Dear Alumni, Members, and the greater Emory community,
This fall semester was another remarkable semester for RISE as we went through internal restructuring to aptly adjust to the growing capacity and amplify the learning opportunity of both the Market Research and Investment teams. In the past, the Market Research team solely managed sharing the macroeconomic news articles for internal market discussions. However, starting this semester, our Market Research team was given the responsibility to assemble and present four industry recommendations to guide the Investment teams in finding promising companies in lucrative sectors.
Consequently, this change provided the Market Research team with additional hands-on learning experience to dive deeper into a specific sector. Throughout the semester, Market Research and Investment teams worked cohesively to build more comprehensive, well-rounded stock pitches to present at the internal meetings and AIG x RISE Stock Pitch Competitions.
In the coming years, RISE ambitiously hopes to further develop its investment portfolio. Despite our passion and drive, RISE continues to run into difficulties due to the lack of capital. The inadequate capital of our investment portfolio has hindered RISE from investing in mid to large-cap companies. As diversification is a major component of a successful portfolio, the current board members have made countless attempts to fundraise on campus but faced great difficulty bringing in sufficient funds.
Today, RISE would greatly appreciate donations to achieve a major milestone in increasing the size of our portfolio. If you are interested in supporting RISE, please feel free to visit our website at risemory.com for more guidance on the donation process.
Thank you so much for your interest in RISE, and we hope to continue this engagement. We encourage you to communicate your ideas and thoughts through our website, Facebook page and Instagram. Our members will much appreciate your inputs and suggestions. Please feel free to contact RISE at risemory@gmail.com with any questions or concerns.
Best regards,
Sally Lee
