Right Foot Forward a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supports the joy, creativity and sense of wonder that is in all youth by way of skateboarding.
Through charitable donations Right Foot Forward will provide the safety equipment and skateboard necessary for local youth of diverse backgrounds to pursue their passion or desire to skateboard. Through skateboarding kids will meet and form friendships with other young skaters, and learn from experienced volunteer instructors.
We believe in creativity, individuality, and community . We will set goals and take risks in a safe environment. Through skateboarding we will build confidence.
Mike Smith, founder of Right Foot Forward, has been skating for over 30 years. His passion for skateboarding lead him to open a skate shop as a young adult, currently Mike is General Manager of a commercial construction company here in Columbus Ohio. You may even catch him skating on his lunch break at a local park around Columbus. Skateboarding has been profound in his life and he wants to promote the culture he loves and help kids interested in learning how to skate by providing them with a safe place, and gear to do so.
