Dear friend,

We are reaching out because you have played a vital role in our successes as a valued supporter.  Your belief in our mission has fueled our programs, empowered our students, and strengthened our impact on the community.

Youth Engagement and Inclusivity:

In 2023, we provided enriching artistic experiences to 284 students through 238 classes. The diversity of our student body, with 90% coming from low-income families, emphasizes our commitment to inclusivity.

Grants and Recognitions:

Securing a $65,000 Department of Education grant, $20,000 New York State Education Department grant, and a $40,000 NYC Council for the Arts grant highlights the recognition of our programs' effectiveness and potential for positive change. We also were awarded a gift of $5,000 from the Kelly Clarkson Show, and another $5,000 from her partners, the Pilot Frixion Ball pens.

Community Collaborations:

Our partnerships with local nonprofits, private businesses, and individuals have expanded, creating a network that enhances our impact. This year's collaborations, including a Culinary Arts Chef’s Series, added new dimensions to our offerings.

Emerging Artist Council:

The establishment of The Emerging Artist Council has been a highlight, empowering older students to become leaders and facilitators within our community.

Community Mutual Aid Initiative:

In collaboration with Hometown Bar-B-Que, we distributed over 800 meals and came together during challenging times.

The Woman of Distinction Impact of Your Support

In May of this year our Executive Director received the New York State Woman of Distinction Award from Senator Andrew Gounardes for her contributions to youth arts programming and local mutual aid efforts through a deep knowledge of changing community needs and drive to action.Your continued support has been instrumental in achieving these milestones.

We ask you to contribute whatever amount is meaningful to you to help us continue our work in the community to ensure that the Red Hook Art Project can continue supporting and inspiring our young artists.

These critical funds help us pay our hardworking staff, keep our beautiful space safe and clean, and filled with art supplies, to name just a few.  Your support will not only contribute to the success of Red Hook Art Project but also empower the next generation of artists.  Together, we can ensure that creativity thrives and opportunities abound for our youth on their artistic journey.

Your passion is the cornerstone of our success, and we are filled with enthusiasm for the possibilities the future holds. With your investment, the Red Hook Art Project will continue to be a beacon of creativity, empowerment, and positive change in our community.

Thank you for being an essential part of our journey.
