We are raising funds to hire a Director of Land and Equity to support and organize with Black and Indigenous farmers in Louisiana. Currently, there is not a unified voice for small-scale and sustainable farmers in Louisiana. We lack a system for farm worker outreach, heirs property issues, federal program administration, and farmer organizing for a just climate transition.
The Director of Land and Equity would ensure that these issues have the support and facilitation they deserve, and steward on-going reparations work in our state.
