Relief Fundraiser for Treetops Kitty Cafe!
This holiday season, we were "gifted" the not-so-fun present of ringworm on December 23. Our cats freely roam the Cafe 24/7, so for your safety and the safety of your furry family members, we will remain closed until at least January 23rd to allow enough time to mitigate the fungal spores and monitor for new outbreaks.
Ringworm is a highly contagious fungal infection of the skin that can affect both humans and pets. Most cats recover and are no longer contagious within 3 weeks of the initial outbreak of this generally harmless infection.
Treatment involves a combination of antifungal baths and topical treatments for the affected cats and oral medications for all the cats. The intensive daily cleaning regimen takes 4 to 5. hours and requires the use of PPE and an antifungal disinfectant (KennelSol) to sanitize all surfaces.
The support and care we have received at Treetops since we announced the closure has been incredible. However, between the increased medical and supply costs and the loss of revenue due to the long-term closure, we need additional help.
Please help us raise $5000 by donating to the Relief Fundraiser so we can continue to provide medical care and meet the routine daily needs of our beloved cats during this closure!
Thank you so much!
