Region 7 Water Safety Campaign launching May 18, 2023!
The main objective of the Region 7 Water Safety Campaign is to express our commitment to working with the region to promote safe boating practices and water safety within our communities and beyond!
Water safety is a critical issue that requires constant awareness and education. Approximately 500 Canadians die each year in water-related incidents; most of these deaths are preventable through public education and life jacket awareness!
As you may know; national water safety month is May! As an act of community service iSUP Saugeen is donating $1000.00 CAD + hst towards launching annual water safety campaigns May - September. The water safety campaign is a community fund that provides workshops and swim lessons to community members in need and also funds water safety public service announcements that are broadcasted on the radio as additional weather tags.
The 2023 Region 7 water safety campaign is being broadcasted using BlackBurn Media Company’s 101.7 The One; reaching multiple communities throughout Mid-Western Ontario.
Sponsorship directly contributes to saving lives! Every donation counts, no matter the size!
