Goal

When you get take-out dinner and the restaurant gives you a plastic fork, that one fork has a long journey ahead of it. The fork may end up in a landfill, which will not break down for up to 450 years. It may end up being burnt, only to release harmful gases into the atmosphere, which could cause cancer, asthma, and even heart disease. The fork could also travel into the ocean, and then harm the sea life. The effects of one tiny fork could mean the lives of the things and people that you love. The Hood River Grocery stores are already using plastic in 93.6857% of their items, you can make a difference, by donating.
