The idea for RANGE was born out of the hope that we would learn from the pandemic’s gender equity and caregiving crises and create real solutions for the future.
As we started to ‘return to normal’-we’re left the question: what if our old normal wasn’t serving us well?
What can we do better to help women and working parents have better work/life integration as well as overcome biases related to gender and caregiving?
With RANGE, we hope to address these questions and find solutions to improve all of our lives.
Our Mission:
- Fund research studying gender equity issues as well as educational and professional development projects that decrease disparities and improve retention and promotion rates for women.
- Increase knowledge and awareness of gender equity issues so that the public better understands how gender biases and stigma regarding caregiving can affect everyone.
- Advocate for laws and policies that support gender equity such as paid leave, subsidizing childcare, reproductive choice.
We want to destigmitize caregiving and create better work/life integration for everyone
Our grants, even if small, can help.
Our organization’s focus on supporting and amplifying problem solvers already out there with grant money is a unique and impactful way to make change and create a more equitable society over time.
