Hi everyone! We are the QT Bear Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and our mission is simple; to comfort children in need through the gift of a teddy bear. We provide comfort, hope, and love to little ones when they need it most.
We are currently on a mission to raise as much money as we can to be able to send teddy bears to children in Maui who have experienced devastating losses due to the fires. There are thousands of children whose families have lost everything they have, and our goal is to provide a small sense of peace and hope to these children with the gift of a QT Bear.
The idea behind this fundraiser actually came from a 5 year old named Aella who lives with her family in Maui right now.
We received this message from Aella's mom today (8/16/23):
"I am reaching out on behalf of my 5 year old daughter Aella. We live on Maui and have watched as all of our friends have lost their homes and jobs due to the wildfires last week. All she keeps talking about is how all the kids need a teddy bear. She is an inspiration and has such a huge heart. Is this something you could coordinate so she can help the kids there?"
After speaking with Aella's Mom, we of course are going to make this happen. Each bear will have a note around its' neck with a special, encouraging message from Aella.
We are going big with our fundraising goal, and will donate as many bears as we possibly can with whatever money we raise. Any amount is greatly appreciated and "sharing" this page to reach as many people as possible is a huge help too!
