Help Keep PYC Warm, Safe, and Welcoming This Winter!
We're fundraising to support ongoing maintenance and facility improvements that keep PYC a warm, welcoming, and inspiring space for everyone who walks through our doors.
Help us reach our goal of $3000 during our Haunted House event!
Over the past six months, PYC staff, volunteers, and community partners have:
- Painted walls and trim throughout the lobby, main room, rec room, purple room, downstairs hallway, and downstairs restroom using reclaimed, donated, and recycled paint, brightening the space and preparing it for future murals.
- Installed baseboards and trim in the lobby, main room, downstairs hallway, and restroom using reclaimed and donated wood to improve insulation and help keep insects and other outdoor visitors outside.
- Resurfaced the downstairs restroom floor with reclaimed wood, replacing damaged vinyl flooring.
- Replaced fluorescent lighting in the rec room with recessed LED fixtures, creating a safer and more comfortable environment.
- Cleaned, sorted, and curated well-loved program materials and equipment, recycling and repurposing what we could while creating room for future projects.
- Reorganized the basement to improve accessibility and efficiency for maintenance and trade professionals.
- Replaced the kitchen faucet and upgraded the water filtration system, providing easier access to clean drinking water for youth, staff, and guests.
- And MORE with the help of our dedicated community.
And we're just getting started.
Over the years, our Haunted House has made Halloween in Plymouth extra special for hundreds of community members, if not more.
With your support, we can continue improving the space, reducing long-term maintenance costs, re-opening upstairs, and ensuring PYC remains a safe, comfortable, and welcoming place for youth this Halloween, all winter long, and beyond.
