Liberia’s Education Reform Act of 2011 established free compulsory primary education particularly for vulnerable children in rural residential areas across the nation. This Act was targeted at helping government in decentralizing the education sector, which is meant to amend the planning of teaching, increase budget to primary education by 50% between 2004 and 2015, and set goals for equitable spending across the training sector, so far there have been no major accomplishments. The most essential understanding is while primary education is free in Liberia, widespread poverty exists, which implies that many kids still do not possess access to primary education because they must engage in child labor in order to meet their and their families’ needs. This is supported by the United Nations Country Team (UNCT) indicating that the low net primary enrollment rate in Liberia is often attributed to unofficial fees and costs pertaining to uniforms and supplies, such as books, school backpacks and other educational materials.

The most essential understanding is while primary education is free in Liberia, widespread poverty exists, which implies that many kids still do not possess access to primary education because they must engage in child labour in order to meet their and their families’ needs. This is supported by the United Nations Country Team (UNCT) indicating that the low net primary enrolment rate in Liberia is often attributed to unofficial fees and costs pertaining to uniforms and supplies, such as books, backpacks and other educational materials. We are raising funds to support our revolving  (Providing Access to Grassroot Education (PAGE-Liberia) Program in Liberia. The project is intended to continuously support most at-risk children with educational care packages and instituting academic challenge activities to stimulate students academic excellence and encourage them to stay in school. The care packages include, book bags, copy books and uniforms. While the academic challenge activities include Quizzing, Debating, Essay writing, and Science Fair competitions. These packages are benefiting children who lacked the educational tools that are needed to enable them to stay in school. It is also intended to buttress the efforts of struggling parents, most especially the visually impaired, physically challenged and economically deprived. Your donation will mean a lot to impacting the lives of these kids through education.
